Highlights from the Product Launch Managers’ Summit
Its 11:55 pm. Day two of Jeff Walker’s invitation only event. Its been jam packed with content, networking, guest speakers, and mini launch team competitions.
I am calling it quits for tonight. We’ve been working on a launch for a well known marketer in the internet space [wish I could say who it is......]. We’ll complete our blueprint for his launch tomorrow. Its been exciting to have the opportunity to work on this launch with my team; it may just become one of those ‘stop the internet’ mega launches.
I have been impressed by the product launch managers I am meeting here. They are a really sharp, international group of people from really varied backgrounds. A pretty social group who create a true sense of community committed to doing great work and supporting other plms with ideas, resources or just rolling up their sleeves and getting to work on other’s launches.
When you hire one PLM, you really get the braintrust of entire team, whether they are officially on the launch team or not. Brings to mind the cell phone commercial with the large network always standing behind in support.
